The solution: a smart tape solution instead of a zipper

The solution was found in MultiSeal™: an innovative reclosable packaging concept developed by MULTIVAC and Supertape BV.

MultiSeal™ replaces the conventional zipper with a specially developed pressure-sensitive tape system. This tape is applied directly during the packaging process and creates a simple, intuitive opening and resealing function for consumers.

The package is produced on a MULTIVAC packaging line. During the process, the MultiSeal™ tape is automatically applied inline. The consumer opens the package using the integrated easy-open feature and can easily reseal it after use by pressing the tape area back into place.

This helps keep the product better protected and fresher for longer after opening.
